Clear Code® Reception Desk
A flexible, tailor-made counter for every person
The Clear Code® Reception Desk is a modular desk system: by adding modules, its design is flexible enough to adapt to any space without altering its proportions and image. It is also designed to adapt to the needs of anyone, paying particular attention to the needs of wheelchair users and people of small stature.
The Clear Code® Reception Desk is a product designed by PMMT based on the Clear Code Architecture® criteria, the first method that objectively guarantees the universal accessibility of any built environment. Thanks to the application of this method, the counter makes it possible to serve everyone, regardless of their circumstances or limitations.
MODULAR. Its modular design allows the counter to be expanded lengthwise by adding 80 cm modules, the minimum length for a wheelchair to have enough space. Different counters can be designed with only one module according to space requirements, or group up to 6 modules to create a main reception desk.
INCLUSIVE. The desks have been designed with meticulous attention to the needs that anyone may have. They are adapted to receive wheelchair users, and enable the inclusion of signage, information in other languages, and pictograms that facilitate understanding for people with the visual impairment. They are also connected to an accessible tactile footpath.
EFFICIENT. The desk consists of a reception area for user service and a work area for staff. It is formalised as a flexible and modular element, and is made even with the vertical wall to avoid obstacles. The colour of the desk stands out from its surroundings.
The modular system provides flexibility in the design and layout of the reception desk. The addition of 80 cm long modules allows the furniture to be extended, while a single module allows different desks to be created. Vertically it is divided into 4 non-uniform sections: at a height of 75 cm is the wheelchair-accessible reception desk, suitable for seated work in a conventional chair; at 110 cm is the upper table for service or standing work, and at 185 cm from the floor is the lower part of the highest section, where the lighting and signage elements are located.
