Waiting Nest
A private, comfortable and pleasant wait
Waiting Nest guarantees maximum privacy and comfort while waiting. An oak furniture system, consisting of a sofa and a side table, contains everything needed to make waiting a more pleasant experience. Thanks to a harmonious and balanced piece of furniture, a warm and controlled atmosphere is created.
Waiting Nest is a product designed for the waiting rooms in the new Institut Marquès’s headquarters, an international benchmark centre in gynaecology, obstetrics and assisted reproduction. The project came about when the centre started to look for a solution to protect the privacy of patients during the waiting period before their appointment; a cosy atmosphere where the couple can wait in comfort without feeling completely isolated from their surroundings.
WARM. Waiting Nest is made of oak, with curved and soft shapes, and incorporates different plants at each end to create a friendly and balanced atmosphere. Its base contains a strip of LEDs that illuminate the entire outer perimeter.
PRACTICAL. It serves as a reception area, and its table is designed to offer the user products to welcome them to the centre or any other product that helps to humanise the wait.
ADAPTABLE. Thanks to its modular design, it can be grouped in different shapes and combinations to adapt to any space. It perfectly meets the needs of the space and the project, and becomes an iconic element of the place where it’s located.
Waiting Nest’s dimensions are 2300 mm x 2300 mm x 1400 mm. Its height provides a sufficient sense of privacy to the users without losing their sense of the surroundings.
Each furniture module includes two planters with volcanic rocks and white stone flooring. The interior consists of a bench with cushions that make up a 2150 mm x 750 mm sofa, and a shelf on the opposite side that can incorporate connectivity outlets and any of the centre's reception products, such as magazines, a tablet, or a coffee machine.
