Amposta Health Centre

The site is located in a commercial and equipment area, on one of the main roads in the town. It is a compact rectangular volume, with a total height of 10.65 metres, with façades that combine exposed concrete with masonry and ceramic latticework, providing protection from the sun. The intended use of the building is a Primary Care Centre, but its structure gives it great flexibility: there are no intermediate pillars to hinder any interior redistribution. Its floors are organised into two main corridors that run the length of the volume, where longitudinal waiting rooms are found, on both sides of the two central courtyards. This space between corridors also houses the vertical communication cores. On both sides of the corridors, along the façade, are the consulting rooms and all the other rooms.
