LA LUZ HOSPITAL - QUIRÓNSALUD
MADRID (Spain)
The interior look and feel and design project for the La Luz Hospital has mainly affected the consulting rooms, hospitalisation and lobby areas. The project has not only readapted the spaces according to the group's vision and values, but has also aimed to humanise them and make them more accessible by meeting the users’ integral needs.
To guarantee universal accessibility in the intervention, we have used our Clear Code Architecture® methodology, some of the strategies implemented being the simplification of spaces and flows through the chosen furniture and cladding, the use of images to create reference points that facilitate the orientation of people in the spaces, a signage system written in more than one language and the incorporation of tactile flooring so that people with visual impairment can move independently.
The lobby has been designed as if it were a large square, improving visibility in the space and separating the waiting areas from the transit areas. This facilitates the location of the various information points and accesses to the services and vertical cores that connect to the lobby, making Hospital La Luz an inclusive project giving importance to the diversity of people and their needs.
