Detached House in Barcelona

The project consists of the construction of a detached house for a young couple on a plot on which a previous family home existed. The new construction occupies the space that was formerly the garden of the main house and therefore the project had to make the two realities compatible. The idea was to have its own image and identity with a façade devised for its own functionality and interior lighting but also designed to merge with the garden and offer an image of continuity with the green space, thus ensuring low impact on the volumetric level of views of the garden from the other house. The project uses wood and glass for the main and most representative façades of the house and on the façades facing the views from the main house we have used an innovative system of ceramic fabric to blend in with the landscape.
