La Paz Gastroenterology Hospital

The Gastroenterology Hospital of La Paz will be the first quaternary care hospital in Bolivia and is set to become a benchmark in the country and South America. The design of the new hospital aims to show, with its volume and façade, the reflection of a pioneering building not only in the field of health but also in architecture.

The building is located on a site with a steep longitudinal and transverse slope, which is what has given shape to this hospital with a large longitudinal base and a tall, narrow hospital tower. All the rooms of the hospital have natural light provided by three large courtyards and its large façade, which is covered with a translucent material that gives it privacy and the image required by the client.
