La Rectoría Frater In
Sant Feliu de Pallarols, Girona (Spain)
The Frater In Rectory project, led by Fràter Girona, aimed to refurbish and extend the old rectory in Sant Feliu de Pallarols (Girona) to become the first hostel designed and built with all the criteria for universal accessibility, using the parameters established by the Clear Code Architecture® method.
Located in the southwest of Sant Feliu, the complex consists of the rectory, an old traditional Catalan farmhouse, some pavilions on the ground floor and a mezzanine. The complex has a built surface area of 1,774 m2 distributed over three floors, between the rectory and the pavilions.
The Frater In is a space open to everyone, which will serve as a holiday camp, residential and holiday home. Thanks to the flexible and modular design of its rooms, it can offer accommodation for large groups, small groups and individual stays. The aim of the project is to solve the lack of large spaces fully adapted for the enjoyment of inclusive leisure.
