Corachan Sarrià
Barcelona (Spain)
Within the framework of renovating the buildings that make up the Corachan Campus, a new satellite space has been added, located on Avinguda de Sarrià, 150 metres from the Clínica Corachan.
This new space has a dual purpose: to house new healthcare services, as well as being a ‘showcase’ showing other services that Clínica Corachan offer to the public, taking advantage of its privileged location in the Sarrià-Les Corts neighbourhood.
The project consists of a Clinical Analysis Laboratory area, with five extraction boxes, and a Maxillofacial Clinic, with four cabinets. Both services share reception and waiting areas, as well as spaces for internal use.
All the spaces are designed with humanisation and comfort in mind, both for the patient and the professional. In this project PMMT has applied the new corporate image designed exclusively for Corachan, but providing a new concept of interior public space, which is directly related to the exterior space. The waiting rooms are organised around the façade, giving a glimpse of what's happening inside and what's happening outside. Natural wood is used to create this façade, bringing both warmth and elegance to this ground-floor premises.
Also taking advantage of the versatility of wood, the furniture of the spaces is resolved in conjunction with the architecture, unifying the language and optimising the space.
