Maximum patient comfort during treatment
Inspired by first class airline seats, Box First Class has been designed to offer maximum comfort and convenience to the patient and their companion during the waiting time of a post-operative or chemotherapy treatment. As a separating element, it allows the creation of different distributions according to the characteristics of the space, guaranteeing the privacy of its users at all times.
Box First Class is a space separator element designed for the project at GCCC 360 Centre of Oncological Excellence Day Hospital (GenesisCare & Clínica Corachan). Its role is to accommodate a patient and a companion during oncological or post-operative treatment, creating a friendly and personal environment that helps ease the difficulties during these moments.
EQUIPPED. Box First Class always maintains every technical sanitary feature with integrated medicinal gas connections, including a doctor-patient alarm.
COMFORTABLE. It features details and elements characteristic of a first class airline seat, as well as an adjustable television, connectivity elements and USB chargers. The alcove closest to the patient serves as a shelf to store personal items, ensuring an intimate space that helps to reduce stress and respond to all the patient’s needs.
ADAPTABLE. The system of rigid separators is made up of three elements of different geometries: due to its modular design, different distributions can be configured according to the space’s characteristics, the volume of patients, or the orientation you want to achieve so that patients have the best views of the outside.
PRIVATE. The "L" shape of the box provides privacy for the patient on two vertical flat surfaces, and the combination of various dividers provides a third third flat surface to close off the space. The place reserved for patient care and the treatment machine, if necessary, is located in the corner where the two vertical walls meet, while the space between the dividers can include a second chair for the patient's companion.
WARM. The materials used provide durability and warmth through the main surface of wood and Corian, qualities that make them ideal for sanitary environments while complying with the technical specifications of cleanliness and durability. The LED strips integrated in the furniture generate a soft and diffused light that highlights the geometries and textures of the separating element.
